Schools will open after a 2-hour delay for students and instructional staff on Monday, January 13, 2025. All other staff should report on time. Please travel safely, and check our website or social media for updates.


Schools are closed Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 for students & instructional staff. 12-month staff should report at 10am or use liberal leave. We appreciate the state, county, & town employees working to clear the roads. Despite their best efforts, high winds & frigid temperatures continue to make roads unsafe for school bus travel. As always, we will provide updates as needed through all SCPS communication channels.

To conclude their civics unit, Mrs. Nelson's class held an election to determine their class president!









Earlier in the week at Greenwood Elementary, Ms. Matthews class had a Chinese New Year celebration to wrap up the CKLA unit on Early Asian Civilizations. Students made fried rice, read books about the Chinese New Year, learned how to use chopsticks, & received a fortune cookie.
